July 7, 1952 ~ May 19, 2021 (age 68)
Mr. Kenneth James Dowless of Elizabethtown, was born on July 7, 1952 and passed away on May 19, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Dowless and his best friend, Roger Singletary. He is survived by his mother, Susan Joyce Dowless of Elizabethtown and two children: son, Nicholas Dowless and daughter, Christy Dowless and two brothers: Steve Dowless and wife Gayle of Tar Heel, Fred W. Dowless of Alabama.
Mr. Dowless worked for Carolina Telephone and Sprint Telephone and retired after 38 years. He was also very active in the Dublin Volunteer Fire Department for 21 years.
A visitation will be held at 2pm and the funeral service at 3pm on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Both services will be at Tar Heel Baptist Church. Burial will follow services in the Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown.
