A Chadbourn area resident narrowly escaped injury when someone threw a rock through her window early Monday.
Moesha Gause of 44 Larry Drive, Chadbourn told deputies she and Kendal Reynolds were in a bedroom when they heard footsteps, then “a loud bang” as the window was shattered. The rock came through the window, the report said, and “nearly stuck her in the head.”
Deputies reported that most of the glass from the broken window was found outside, and a rock was found on the bed.
