Man Charged for Allowing Juvenile Assault

A Bolton man has been charged for allowing the September 2025 assault on a child.

Anthony Dewitt Ameri Jacobs, 37, of 7848 Old Lake Rd., was arrested today (April 8) on a single count of misdemeanor child abuse. He was placed under a $15,000 unsecured bond, according to detention center records.

The sheriff’s office reported that deputies were called to a disturbance on Buckhead Road on Sept. 6. The incident involved a custody dispute and “potential child abuse,” the report said. The Dept. of Social Services was called after a juvenile was observed “with visible injuries,” the report said.

Warrants were obtained in January charging Kanyon Ray Hunt, 21,  with simple assault and assault on a female at the Buckhead home. His bond was set at $15,000 secured.

Warrants show that Jacobs is alleged to have allowed Hunt to assault a juvenile at the residence. Hunt was arrested Jan. 21.
