Here’s today’s Bottom Line
Greetings and TGIF! Thank you for taking time out of your day to check in.
Here’s our updated rain-free streak…
If you liked yesterday’s weather (high temp of 92 on my station in Whiteville), you’ll love today, and you’ll really love Saturday.
If you’re hoping for some rain… I *might* have some good news for you, but honestly, don’t get your hopes up too high.
A massive ridge of high pressure remains parked offshore. That is responsible for the heat and dry weather we’re currently experiencing. A robust cold front will drop southeast over the area and (temporarily at least) shunt the influence of the high pressure much farther offshore. A relatively chilly northwest flow will follow the front and bring below-normal temperatures Sunday night, Monday, and Monday night.
With the front MAY come a few showers… possibly… if we’re lucky… even a rumble of thunder!
The Euro is far more aggressive than any of the other global models, and therefore I don’t think that’s going to be the case. I’m leaning more toward GFS in this instance with a moisture-starved frontal passage. But it could break the dry streak.
Another dry streak begins right after the front, though, as we’ll be high-and-dry most of next week.
