Here’s today’s Bottom Line
Taco Tuesday greetings! What a gorgeous day we’re going to have across the area. Bright, blue sunny skies with highs a tick or two either side of 80… you can’t ask for a nicer day.
A stronger southwesterly flow will become established on Wednesday ahead of an approaching cold front. Temps will jump into the middle and upper 80s with higher humidity levels. We’ll have a mix of sun and clouds and there’s just the slightest chance for a spotty shower or thunderstorm Wednesday afternoon.
The aforementioned cold front sweeps across the area Thursday afternoon. This will bring a likelihood for showers and thunderstorms. There should be a decent coverage of showers… but overall rainfall totals should be in the quarter- to half-inch range. Higher amounts are possible if thunderstorms develop.
As for the potential for stronger convection, it’ll depend on the timing of the frontal passage. Right now I don’t foresee any widespread severe weather, but this might be a case of potentially isolated gusty wind potential.
Dry weather returns after the front with cooler and less humid conditions. The coming weekend looks like it’s going to be a perfect-ten.
