Here’s today’s Bottom Line
We continue to be in the muggy and warm pattern of a south-to-north flow of tropical moisture. This is continuing to produce scattered showers and thunderstorms… and will continue to do so today into Thursday.
Drier air in the middle levels of the atmosphere will push in on Friday as a weak area of high pressure pushes a cold front down from the north. There is extraordinary model disagreement about how far south this front pushes. In short, this leads to a very uncertain forecast. If the front passes all the way through the area and to the south, we end up pleasant and mainly dry for the weekend. If the front stalls over our the area, then the shower-and-thunderstorm regime continues.
