Here’s today’s Bottom Line
As mentioned in the Bottom Line, largely unsettled weather is likely to persist into next week… but the shower chances trend downward through time.
Our air mass remains unchanged today with an abundance of deep moisture in place. There will be areas of surface instability but the coverage for showers and storms will be mostly this afternoon focused on the sea-breeze. A cold front will drop down from the north this evening, and this could aid in the development of thunderstorms later this evening. A focused area of heavy rain is possible with the actual frontal passage.
The environment remains somewhat conducive to scattered showers and storms through the weekend and into next week as the frontal boundary dissipates just to our south. Temps will be somewhat cooler than normal, and while I can’t guarantee any particular day will be dry, the coverage for showers should be considerably less than what we’ve been experiencing.
