A man was struck and killed Thursday near Council in Bladen County, and investigators have no information who he was or what hit him.
First responders were called to the scene on N.C. 211 at 8:28 a.m., the Highway Patrol said. The individual was found dead near the eastbound lane.
The vehicle that struck the man apparently left the area.
