Bladen County deputies have charged a man with kidnapping and multiple sex offenses.
Wade Anthony Garcia, 41, was held without bond, charged with second degree kidnapping, false imprisonment, sexual battery, and second degree sex offense, according to the BCSO. His address was listed as 4960 Burney ford Rd., Clarkton.
The sheriff’s office said the victim called 911 to report she was kidnapped and assaulted at Garcia’s home. Investigators conducted multiple interviews and collected evidence, including the victim’s clothing, then drew warrants against Garcia.
The alleged assault was reported July 21.
