Here’s today’s Bottom Line

Welcome to October! Where we should feel a chill to the air, a touch of fall, sweater in the mornings…….. nope… not yet!

Unseasonably warm temperatures can be expected today, tomorrow, and Saturday. Yep, that means highs around 90 or into the lower 90s today and tomorrow, and in the upper 80s on Saturday.

Lots of sunshine is also on tap for today and tomorrow… but clouds will be on the increase on Saturday ahead of the first of two cold fronts.

The first front will inch its way through the area Saturday night into early Sunday. A wave of low pressure will likely form on the front and quickly push across the area. Then a second front sweeps across the area early Monday. This will lead to the aforementioned touch of fall for the middle part of NEXT week.

Rainy conditions are likely over the weekend, especially Saturday night through Sunday night. Some periods of heavy rain are possible as well, and the model blend suggests a healthy amount of rain will occur.

Rain ends by Monday afternoon, and then dry weather returns through the middle of next week.

TROPICS: Dry air and shear dominate the Atlantic basin and the Gulf of America. That means no tropical systems.
