Fayetteville Counselor Pleads Guilty to Fraud

Valerie Ann Sinclair of Fayetteville has pleaded guilty to 21 counts of obtaining property by false pretenses in Moore County Superior Court. Judge Regina M. Joe ordered Sinclair to surrender her clinical mental health counselor supervisor license and pay $71,046.04 in restitution to the North Carolina Medicaid program. She also sentenced Sinclair to 60 months of supervised probation and required Sinclair to immediately serve 90 days of confinement....

No charges will be filed after a toddler was struck and killed near Clarkton Monday. Sgt. K. McVicker of the Highway Patrol said the two-year-old ran into traffic on Mercer Mill Road around 2:53 p.m. The child went into the path of a southbound automobile. Neither speed, alcohol nor drugs played a role in the death, McVicker said. The assistant district attorney is not pursuing charges.  

Child Support Chase Ends in Arrest

Failure to pay  child support led to more charges for a Delco man after he allegedly fled from a deputy on Monday. Jeremy Lynn Inman, 27, of 38 North Creek Drive, was held under $1,962 secured bond on charges of fleeing to elude arrest and child support, according to arrest records. Deputy T.
