Police investigating a call about a man waving a handgun found no suspect Saturday in Whiteville. Whiteville Police were called to Memory Twins Circle just before 11:30 p.m., according to a report. A 911 caller reported someone “waving a firearm” in a threatening manner. Although WPD were quickly on the scene, they did not locate anyone with a firearm. No shots, injuries or damage were reported.
