Five people were arrested Dec. 28 after detectives raided a home on Shade Fisher Road and discovered a large quantity of illegal drugs. The Lake Waccamaw man who ran into a pole trying to avoid arrest is back in jail. Henry Charles Brandt, 33, was charged with felony possession of both prescription narcotics and methamphetamine, simple possession of prescription pills and suboxone strips, drug paraphernalia, and crack cocaine, according to jail records.
