The routine search of a prison employee heading to work turned up a bag of tobacco Aug. 20, according to the Columbus County sheriff’s office.
juJuan Lowell Lambert, 33, was arrested for possession of tobacco in a confinement facility, and released on an unsecured bond.
The CCSO said that a lieutenant at the Brunswick prison unit was conducting a search prior to Lambert entering the prison for work, and found a bag of tobacco in his boot.
Lambert’s address was not listed. The charge is a misdemeanor.
