The Clarendon man charged with child sex abuse now faces additional charges.
Frederick William Booth, 56, is being held under $350,000 secured bond on three counts of statutory sex offense and indecent liberties with a child. He was arrested on a single count May 19, according to the sheriff’s office.
Booth is alleged to have molested two preadolescent boys, ages eight and nine, on multiple occasions, the sheriff’s office reported. He was acquainted with both children.
The Criminal Investigation Division began an inquiry into the case May 18. Detectives discovered that Booth allegedly committed sex acts with the children several times.
The investigation is continuing, and more charges are pending.
