Lewis Carlton Allen, age 82, of Evergreen, died Thursday, July 8, 2021 in his home. Born May 10, 1939 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of the late Nathan & Hazel Bell Herring Allen and the widower of Joyce Estelle Perritt Allen. He is survived by his daughters, Carol Bullock of Evergreen, and Daisy Lee Johnson of SC, his sons, Steven Matthew Cooper of SC and Carl Nathan Allen & his wife Susan of SC; A brother, Jerry Wayne Allen of Florence, SC, sister, Ida Mae Buffkin of Tabor City; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Leanu Allen, Henry Edward Allen and Joseph Wayne Allen.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 1PM – 2 PM in the East Lumberton Free Will Baptist Church, Lumberton.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 2 PM in the East Lumberton Free Will Baptist Church, Lumberton, Burial will follow at 4:00 PM in the Bayboro Baptist Church Cemetery, Aynor, SC.
