NFL: Las Vegas Raiders fire Mike Mayock as General Manager after three seasons. 

The Cardinals fell to the Rams last night 34-11. It was not competitive last night as Odel Beckam Jr and Cooper Kupp each had touchdowns from Mathew Stafford. Beckam also connected on a 40-yard pass, becoming the first player in NFL Playoff history to catch and throw a pass of at least 30 yards.

49ers versus the Packers 8:15pm, Saturday on FOX 

Tampa Bay will host the Cardinals on Sunday at 3pm on NBC.

NBA: Yesterday’s Scores

The Hornets beat the Knicks in Madison Square Garden 97-87. Despite an eleven-point fourth quarter, the Hornets managed to hold on and get the win. Miles Bridges scored a career high 38 points. Bridges also added 12 rebounds, and 5 assists. Terry Rozier had 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists. Gordon Hayward had 16 points. LaMelo Ball did not play. 

Celtics beat the Pelicans 104-92 Tatum had 27 points and 8 rebounds 

76ers lost to the Wizards 117-98 32 points and 8 rebounds for Embiid 

Cavaliers over the Nets 114-. 27 points for Kyrie Irving with 7 rebounds and 9 assists. 

Bulls fall to the Grizzlies 119-106 Ja Morant had 25 points  

Pacers beat the Clippers 139-133 

Bucks lost to the Hawks 121-114 First loss this season when leading after three quarters 23-0. Trae Young had 30 points. 

Magic fall to the Trail Blazers 98-88 

Raptors couldn’t handle the Heat 104-99 Jimmy Butler has a triple-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Bam Adebayo returns from thumb surgery, and gets 14 points in 32 minutes. 

Thunder lost to the Mavericks 104-102. Dallas is 9-1 in the last 10 games. Forty-first triple double for Luka Doncic picking up 20 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. 

Suns beat the Spurs 121-107. Devon Booker scores 48 points. 

Lakers took care of the Jazz 101-95. LeBron James 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists

Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball returns to action today.  

South Columbus Boys and Girls Varsity are 0-13 this season, the Stallion squads travel to Heide Trask today. The boys play first with a 4pm tip-off scheduled and the girls at 6pm. 

Both Varsity squads of the Wolfpack of Whiteville High host West Columbus this afternoon. Boys at 4pm, girls at 6pm.
