She was the second daughter who thrived on being outdoors with her love of flowers and her vegetable garden. She especially loved blueberry picking with her friends.
To her friends, she was the best forever- always carrying food or just coming to visit.
Wilhelmenia was a gifted homemaker, a great cook, a self-taught excellent, highly-skilled seamstress, and a crochet artist. She was a supervisor at Stone Manufacturing in Fair Bluff, N.C. for thirty years and developed a love of sewing in many young women. Until most recently, Wilhelmenia enhanced wedding gowns and prom dresses, hemmed numerous pants and dresses, and made many quilts and afghans. She always charged very little for her professional efforts-just showing her love by helping people.
Wilhelmenia was a dedicated member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church who gave her talents to God “behind the scenes” as the wife of a deacon and Sunday School teacher, she was also a member of the WMU for many years. She especially enjoyed her Golden Sunshine Sunday school class and teacher, Carolyn Worley.
She was the strength of her family, the great love of her husband Duvall, and a proud Aunt to all her nieces and nephews.
