Two people were arrested on multiple narcotics charges after a deputy stopped their vehicle for reckless driving.

Warrants and jail reports show Henry Charles Brandt, 34, and Summer Coleman, 30, were held under secured bonds after the Thursday arrest.

The sheriff’s office said a deputy spotted Brandt operating a vehicle in a reckless manner on Sam Potts Highway near Hallsboro, and executed a traffic stop near Red Hill Road. When a drug-sniffing dog was deployed on the vehicle the dog gave a positive alert.

The deputy located a bag of methamphetamine, Adderall, two glass smoking pipes and durg packaging materials, according to the warrants. Coleman was concealing an additional package that contained oxycodone pills and heroin, which was discovered at the county detention center.

A locked box in the vehicle contained baggies with drug residue, a glass smoking pipe, and six needles, according to the report.

Brandt listed his address as 1032 Bella Coola Rd., Lake Waccamaw. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotics, and drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $10,000.

Coleman was charged with possession of heroin and simple possession of narcotics. Her bond was set at $7,500. Coleman gave her address as 780 Todd Town Rd., Clarendon.
