Developing story: The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating a shooting in Tabor City.
A male subject was confirmed dead in the 10:28 a.m. incident, according to Police Chief Donald Dowless. The assault occurred on North Lewis Street, and is under investigation.
“We have requested the assistance of the SBI,” Dowless said. “I can’t say anything more at this time.”
The killing is the first in Tabor City this year and the third overall in the county.
