Tractor Theft Suspect a Man of Many Names

Deputies arrested a man Sunday after he allegedly stole a tractor and gave multiple aliases.

Warrants and Detention Center reports show Charles Graham Rogers, 71, was held under $5,500 secured bond. He was charged with felony larceny, second degree trespassing, resisting an officer, reckless driving, and traffic violations. His address was listed as 2680 Green Sea Rd., Galivants Ferry, S.C.

Reports show that the owner of the tractor called 911 at 1054 a.m. Sunday after Rogers allegedly came onto her property and hooked the tractor on a trailer onto a Ford pickup. She was able to give deputies a description of the vehicle, which was located on Will Inman Road.

When he was stopped, the report said, Rogers allegedly gave the deputy “several names, dates of birth and addresses”. Rogers was initially booked as a John Doe, but warrants were later changed to his legal name.
