On Friday night the Whiteville Varsity Wolfpack traveled to Elizabethtown to show the East Bladen Eagles how the Wolfpack plays football. And at the end of Four Quarters, the Wolfpack were triumphant over the Eagles. Whiteville added another win with a 43-13 final score.
Luke Odham had a stellar offensive performance with a long touchdown pass to Ashton Hammonds, as well as two rushing touchdowns himself, with one being a 65 yard run in the second half. The defensive squad did a great job allowing the Eagle’s only 13 points in the first half, and keeping the Eagles scoreless in the second half. Whiteville’s offensive and defensive squads both performed well. This week the broadcast team at WTXY Kool 103.9 FM chose Like Odham as this weeks ‘Player of the Game’.
In another non-conference matchup, the Wolfpack are home next week at Legion Stadium hosting Rosewood.
