Three Juveniles Eyed in Vandalism, Gun Thefts

Three juvenile males are being sought by the sheriff’s office after two homes were burglarized and multiple firearms stolen Monday.

One of the houses was heavily vandalized as well as robbed, according to the sheriff’s office.

In the first reported break-in Larry Tedder’s home at 357 Wooded Acres Drive was entered through a window. Deputies were contacted about a crime in progress just before 7:30 a.m., the report said. The suspects got away with six firearms, multiple magazines, and ammunition. Some of the stolen goods were recovered at Dupree Landing a short time later.

Among the stolen firearms were several hunting rifles, at least one shotgun, and a Glock handgun. Estimated value of the items was more than $3,000.

Two hours later, deputies were dispatched to 505 Hallsboro Road South to another break-in. Entry was made through a door, according to the report,

The home, owned by Bryan Fowler, had multiple broken windows and damage to ceiling fans and sheetrock. Cabinets were torn from the walls of the home, the report said. The cost off the damages was not listed on the report.

Some items stolen from Wooded Acres were located at the Hallsboro Road home, the report said.

The three juveniles, all white males, are ages 13, 14, and 15, the reports said. Both incidents are thought to be related.   The case is under investigation.
