A registered sex offender is out on bond after he allegedly worked at an area retailer where he had access to minors.

Jeffrey Perritte, 32, was arrested Sept. 15 on a single charge of employment violation by a sex offender. He was released on $7,500 secured bond. Perritte’s address was listed as 1865 Vineyard Rd., Clarendon.

The employer did not know of Perritte’s restrictions.

Perritte was convicted of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor, an eight year old child,  on Dec. 10, 2018, and released on Dec. 18, 2018. He was given a suspended sentence of 39 months in prison, and required to be registered for ten years.

He was initially charged with second and third degree sexual exploitation in August 2017, according to the state sex offender registry. Perritte was arrested after an investigation by U.S. Homeland Security turned up pornographic photos of underage boys in his possession.

The employment charge was his first violation, according to the registry.
