Carnell George, 59, of Whiteville, died Thursday, December 28, 2023, at home.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
The funeral will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, January 3, at the Brunswick-Waccamaw Baptist Headquarters, 600 Pinelog Road, Whiteville, NC. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Welches Creek Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the Headquarters Wednesday following the service.
Surviving are his sisters, Wychulia George Stewart of Nashville, NC and Bernadean George of Whiteville; brothers, his twin, Barnell George, David Lee George, and Larry Jerome George of Whiteville, and Levie George of Philadelphia, PA.
Due to the increase in communicable viruses, friends are asked to limit visits only to the funeral home on Tuesday.
