Born April 11, 1940 and died April 11, 2024 in Columbus County. Annette was preceded in death by her parents Ken and Beaulah Ray of Tabor City, NC.
Annette is survived by her husband of 65 years Larry Wayne Cartrette and three children, Lorie Cartrette Morrow (Jared), Karen Cartrette Fussell (Jamie), and Kevin Wayne Cartrette (Shirley).
Annette has five grandchildren Derek Morrow, Jeremy Morrow (Tiani), Carie Loosman (Brandon), Bryce Cartrette (Kristina), and Jenna McDonald (Christian).
Annette also has 5 great grandchildren Bayden Cartrette, Ryler Cartrette, Emery McDonald, Jackson Morrow, and Luka Morrow.
Annette has two surviving brothers Wilbert Ray and Joe Ray both of Tabor City and was preceded in death by brothers Kenneth Ray, Elderidge Ray, Faxon Ray, Fred Ray, and Franklin Ray.
Annette’s greatest passion in life was gardening and she created a beautifully landscaped home and garden.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Iron Hill Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
