Charles Wayland McPherson, 73, of the Beaverdam Community of Chadbourn, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, following a battle with cancer.
Charles was born on August 19, 1950, son of the late Joe McPherson and Madge Hinson McPherson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances McPherson, who preceded him 20 days ago; his siblings, Veta McPherson, Sue M. Skipper, and John Wayne McPherson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Buddy Seay officiating. Burial will follow in the McPherson Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the service on Friday, at the church.
The surviving family includes two daughters, Kitty Martin of Chadbourn, Crystal Wilkes and her husband, Jeffery, of Lumberton; grandchildren: Mary Elizabeth Harrelson, Dylan Chase Wilkes, and Anthony Wayland Wilkes.
