Bolton firefighters were on the scene of a wildfire when their truck was hit by a passenger vehicle Saturday. Multiple injuries were initially reported. The wreck occurred near NC 211 on US 74. This is a developing story.

Movies are back at the Museum of Science in downtown Whiteville. Wall-E will be shown March 1 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the museum theater. There’s no cost. Drinks and snacks will be available. There will be opportunities for hands-on learning after each showing. The movie series is sponsored by International Paper.
