The village of Riegelwood may have to change its name to the City of Champions.
The Riegelwood AA All-Stars took home the NCDYB AA Championship Tuesday in Pembroke. They beat Wallace 15-9 as Riegelwood claimed their second state title in DYB, with the 6-U All-Stars claming the championship last week.
On their way to the title, Riegelwood AA All-Stars defeated South Brunswick 13-10, Rose Hill 16-4, Stanley 21-1, before taking out Wallace in the championship. They will next play in the AA DYB World Series held in Dunn July 25-30.
