Here’s today’s Bottom Line
Dry weather and hot temps will be the rule through early Thursday thanks to high pressure ridging at the surface and aloft. Temps will be into the lower 90s each day. Today through Wednesday will be high and dry with some fog to start off the day followed by abundant sunshine.
We’ll start off Thursday much in the same way with some fog and then sunshine… but a frontal boundary approaches the area as the high pressure becomes rather “narrow” in scope. This will result in greatly increased humidity along with the chances for showers and storms Thursday afternoon.
The front becomes stationary over the area Friday into the weekend. There’s some considerable uncertainty within modeling as to how much rain we’ll get, but there’s a likelihood that scattered to numerous showers and storms will be about the area Friday through the weekend. There’s no way of predicting who gets what… some areas of the county may be dry while other areas get drenched. There is a POTENTIAL for several inches of rain to fall for those areas that get repeated showers and storms.
This unsettled weather may trend into next week (Memorial Day) as well.
