White Lake held its first annual “Almost Famous” Putt-Putt Championship June 13 at Goldston’s Beach Putt-Putt Course.
The event was a fundraiser for the White Lake and White Lake Fire Departments, which raised $4,000 in the tournament. The contest had three divisions: men, women, boys and 12 and girls 12 and under.
The men’s division winner was Brandon King. Kaci Boussias took the women’s bracket while Madilyn Rogerson won the 12 and under category.
Event organizer Daryl Davis thanked he would like to thank all of the sponsors that help put on the event, and expressed hopes that it would become a regular event.
“I hope to do a weekly putt-putt tournament,” Davis said, and noted that things are moving into place to make that happen in the near future.
