Mother, Daughter Die in Crash

A side-impact collision took the lives of a Fair Bluff woman and her daughter this morning at Hinson’s Crossroads.
Amanda Green, 29, and her daughter Arabella Powell, 11, died when their vehicle was struck in the passenger side by another car.
Patricia Ann Jackson of Fayetteville failed to stop at a stop sign at Rough and Ready Road and Hinson’s Crossroads Church Road, Sgt. Mark Gore of the Highway Patrol said. Her 2002 Toyota struck Green’s vehicle. An adult female and two juveniles in the Toyota sustained minor injuries. Jackson was airlifted with non life threatening injuries.
Jackson was charged with two counts of misdemeanor death by vehicle, failure to stop at a stopsign, and reckless driving.
Green was from Fair Bluff.
