Here’s today’s Bottom Line
I could probably cut the text from yesterday’s report and paste it right here and be done. There’s essentially no change.
Deep tropical moisture is in place over the entire area… and this overall pattern is going nowhere until the closed low/trough pushes away Thursday.
The model blend is one thing… but what it doesn’t show us is the potential for training showers and storms…. showers and storms that form and move over the same general area for hours at a time… such as what occurred yesterday over portions of eastern Columbus County. MRMS analysis shows 4-8 inches of rain fell over the eastern portions of the county… while some other areas received very little rain. This is going to continue today… and Wednesday… and into Thursday as well. It is essentially impossible to predict ahead of time exactly where these training storms will become established.
High pressure attempts to build in on Friday bringing mostly sunny skies… followed by sunshine and seasonable storm chances for the weekend. We’ll probably looking at triple-digit heat index values by the weekend.
