Here’s today’s Bottom Line
There isn’t going to be much to talk about in the weather department this week. We do have some potential for isolated/patchy frost early Tuesday morning, and again Friday morning and Saturday morning.
High pressure will keep us dry today through Wednesday. Chilly temperatures will dominate today in a northwest wind flow. The high pressure will be overhead Tuesday and then push off the coast Wednesday, allowing our temperatures to warm back up once again.
A cold front will approach and move through on Thursday. The model guidance suggests that this will be mostly dry, but there is the slight chance for some showers with the front on Thursday afternoon or early Thursday evening.
Skies clear out fairly quickly behind the front and a push of colder-than-normal Canadian air arrives Thursday night through Friday night.
Patchy frost is possible Thursday night / early Friday, but a bit more likely Friday night into Saturday morning as temperatures drop well into the 30s. I don’t foresee temps going below freezing — definitely no hard freeze with this — but areas of frost are a good possibility at the end of the work week. High temps on Friday might not reach the 60s, and I went on the lower end of the model blend for temps, given past experience.
A dramatic warm-up returns for the weekend, with our next rain chances coming NEXT Sunday or Monday.
Without further ado, here is your Freedom Insurance Today-plus-Five forecast for Columbus County.
That will conclude today’s report, my friends. Thank you for your time, thank you for supporting CCN, and thank you to Freedom Insurance for sponsoring our daily reports. I hope you have a wonderful day, and as always, take care.
