Stolen Liquor, Drugs Found in Chadbourn Raid

Three people were jailed after state and local agents raided a Chadbourn home last week and found hundreds of bottles of stolen liquor.
N.C. Alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE) and Chadbourn Police announced the arrests Friday.
Crystal Marie Wilcox, 32 and James Edward Faulk, 46 both of Chadbourn, and Collin Michael Montes, 36, of Lumberton, were arrested March 13 after a joint investigation.
On Feb. 28, the press release said, ALE agents observed Faulk parked near the loading dock at the Lumberton ABC store. They watched Montes help Faulk load “a substantial quantity of liquor” into his vehicle. Faulk then left the store and went to 214 Huffham St., Chadbourn. The stolen alcohol was later valued at more than $2,000.
On March 1, ALE and Chadbourn Police raided the Huffham Street property. In addition to 600 bottles of liquor, they seized 63 Suboxone strips, 335 grams of marijuana, 3.85 grams of cocaine, 86 Adderall tablets and 50 Methadone pills.
Wilcox and Faulk were charged with possession of stolen goods; possession for sale of non tax paid alcohol, and possession of alcohol for sale without a license; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine, narcotics and prescription drugs, and trafficking in opiates.
Montes was charged with felony larceny, larceny by employee and conspiracy.
“This case is a great example of how multiagency cooperation can make a positive impact on our community, making it a safer to live, work and enjoy. Thank you to all the agents and officers involved,” said Chadbourn Police Chief, Kenneth Elliott.
“This case underscores the versatility of ALE special agents, who, after identifying potential violations, are able to conduct thorough investigations that ultimately make a meaningful impact on public safety,” said ALE Director Bryan House. “We greatly value our collaborative partnerships with other law enforcement agencies and appreciate the support provided by the Chadbourn Police Department in this investigation.”
The investigation is continuing and more charges are anticipated, according to the ALE.
