Here’s today’s Bottom Line

Our coastal low is pulling away off to the north and east. We’ll see some cloudiness this morning but I expect mostly sunny skies by this afternoon. It’ll be a little breezy at times this afternoon but nothing unbearable. Highs will be in the mid 60s.

High pressure then muscles in and takes full control of our weather right through the weekend. Rain chances are virtually zero through the time period, even though a weak backdoor front may drop through the area on Thursday. Clouds will even be in short supply, so expect those bright blue sunny skies to persist.  You’ll definitely need the sunglasses.

Temperatures make a big warmup to above seasonal normal values by the end of the week into the weekend.

TROPICS:  There are no areas of tropical interest and no tropical formation is expected through the next 7 days.

In all honesty, I think the tropical season is pretty much over. Lots of cooler air and shear is spilling over the north pole and pushing southward over the eastern US and the Atlantic ocean. While a rogue system may come together in the Caribbean, I am confident on saying that… on the whole… we’re done with tropical weather threats for the season.
