In Loving Memory of Jeanette Cribb ~ A Life of Faith, Love, and Eternal Hope
On November 21, 2025, Heaven joyfully welcomed Jeanette Cribb, a faithful servant of God whose life was a shining example of love, grace, and steadfast faith. Though her earthly journey has ended, her legacy of faith and devotion continues to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
Jeanette was the cherished wife of Odis Glee Cribb, her devoted husband of 64 years. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and love — a true partnership that reflected the heart of Christ. Their marriage was a testimony to commitment, prayer, and the unshakable strength that comes from trusting God through every season.
Jeanette was a proud and loving mother to Glenn Cribb (wife Beth), Ronda Denham (husband Robert), and Rev. Jeremy Cribb (wife Amy). She poured her heart into her family, guiding them with wisdom, gentleness, and unwavering love. She is also survived by her dear brother, Ervin McPherson (wife Juanita), and her beloved sister, Shirley Hilburn (husband Cofield), and a sister-in-law Reba Kendrick, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who cherished her deeply. She was predeceased by her parents, Carson and Clyde Mcpherson, husband Odis Cribb, daughter Ronda Denham, grandson Casey, sister Bopeep Evans, brother Marvin Mcpherson, sisters-in-law Retha Mcpherson, and Fleetie Kinlaw, & brothers-in-law Leverle Kinlaw and Jim Kendrick.
Her joy overflowed in her role as “Grandma” and “MEME” to her precious grandchildren: Drew Denham, LeeAnn (Coty) Wood, Elijah Cribb, and Nathaniel Cribb, Adam (Robbie) Cribb and Allison “Alli” Cribb and great-grandmother to Charlotte Wood and Emma Wood. Each one brought her immeasurable happiness, and she prayed faithfully for them, delighting in every milestone and moment shared with them. Her love for her family was deep and unconditional, always pointing them to live in peace with each other and to the everlasting love of Christ.
Throughout her life, Jeanette touched countless hearts in her role as a beautician in her cozy shop she had at her home, with her kindness and compassion, her gentle spirit, radiant smile, and encouraging words brought comfort and hope to everyone that had the privileged of sitting in her chair. Time with her, as she worked her magic on the style that her customers requested, became an avenue where many have shared their joys, heartaches, and yes even their dreams. For over six decades behind the chair, she’s styled and cut countless heads of hair—maybe even yours. She lived her faith out loud, teaching by example what it means to love the Lord with all your heart and to serve others with humility.
Jeanette’s life verse might well have been taken from 2 Timothy 4:7(KJV): “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
She ran her race with endurance, and now she finally has found eternal rest in the arms of her Savior, rejoicing in the promise of eternal life.
As we celebrate her life, we rejoice in knowing that Jeanette is now in the glorious presence of Jesus, her faith made sight, her joy complete. Though she will be deeply missed beyond human words, her light continues to shine through her family and the love she gave, the faith she lived, and the lives she touched.
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” Matthew 25:21(KJV)
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday November 23rd, 2025, at Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, with Pastor Buddy Seay and Pastor Jeremy Cribb officiating. A private interment to follow at Casey’s Memorial Garden.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
The family would like to extend its sincere and most heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Liberty Home Care & Hospice, especially Christie Bowen, Loretta Young, & Crystal Simmons. Your love, professionalism, and knowledge are unsurpassed. We will forever be grateful!
Jeanette Cribb’s legacy will continue to live in the hearts of her family, her church, and her community. May her memory remind us all to live with the same faith, courage, and love that defined her remarkable life.
This is not “Goodbye” but simply, “We will see you in the morning”, but until then may we rest in the blessed assurance that love never ends, and that one day, we will rejoice together in our heavenly home, only through and by our Savior Jesus Christ.
