Crews are searching for a teenaged girl who wandered away from home on Hallsboro Road South around 9 p.m.
Jettie Edwards, 15, is a white female. She weighs 105 pounds and stands 5’1” tall. Jettie was wearing a pink sweatshirt, blue jeans, and tan shoes, according to the sheriff’s office. She is reportedly autistic.
Sheriff Bill Rogers said the girl left home in the 9000 block of Hallsboro Road South around 9 p.m., and was last seen heading into a wooded area.
Rogers said in a press release that the CCSO has requested the assistance of the Brunswick Sheriff’s Office helicopter. Three drone teams are searching, along with the county’s man tracking team and K9s.
Subfreezing temperatures make the search more urgent, Rogers said, since Jettie is not dressed for the cold.

Anyone who sees the girl or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call 911.
