Strickland Captured in Tabor City

Christopher Strickland was taken into custody today (Tuesday) after a two-day manhunt.

Strickland, 43, was wanted for a string of break-ins and larcenies in North and South Carolinas, according to Tabor City Police.

Tabor City Police said Strickland was captured after a joint effort with the sheriff’s office,  Fair Bluff and Chadbourn police, and a tracking dog from the N.C. Dept. of Corrections.

“We can accomplish anything when we come together,” TCPD said in a social media announcement thanking all involved. “Last but not least we wanna thank all the citizens of Tabor who called and gave us information, we appreciate all of you.”

Part of Complex Street in Tabor was evacuated this afternoon during the manhunt, witnesses said..
