Welcome to the Sunday edition of the CCN Daily Weather Update!
Since we didn’t pick up any rain here on Sunday, here’s our updated rain-free streak…
We’re going to add at least 5 more days to that streak before it possibly comes to an end by Saturday.
We’ll have very dry weather today along with rather breezy conditions. This will lead to an even more elevated fire danger, as relative humidity values drop into the 20 percent range this afternoon.
Dry weather will continue through the week until a cold front approaches on Saturday. Modeling is inconsistent with regards to potential rainfall but “when in drought, forecast drought,” and until I see something to get excited about, I’m not really going to jump onto anything yet.
We’re starting off rather cool this morning. Tomorrow morning will be rather chilly as well but temps warm up dramatically for the middle and second half of the work week.
Drought and fire weather conditions will continue to worsen. Wish I had better news!
