The suspect in three murders was arrested early today (July 4) in Wake County.
Eric Lamont Martin, 18, was taken into custody in a joint operation by the Wake Sheriff’s Office, N.C. Dept. of Corrections, and U.S. Marshals, according to a press release from the WCSO. Authorities deployed drones and K9 teams in the hunt for Martin.
Deputies learned Martin was in the area of Lamont Drive in Raleigh.
Martin faces charges of murder for the shooting death of Raphael Gowans in the town of Brunswick on June 11, and Mariah Williamson and Patrick Faircloth in Roanoke Rapids on June 22. Faircloth and Miss Williamson had reportedly gone to see Martin with Isaiah Cooper, 19. Faircloth was from Chadbourn, and Martin, Cooper and Miss Williamson came from Whiteville.
Cooper has been charged with three counts of accessory after the fact of murder.
This is a developing story.
