Flock Cameras Used to Track, Catch Theft Suspect

Flock traffic cameras helped capture a South Carolina man wanted for a string of thefts in Columbus county.

Brian Keith Misenheimer, 51, of Marion, S.C., was held under $153,500 secured bond, according to the sheriff’s office. He faces charges of breaking and entering, larceny, second degree trespassing, felony possession of cocaine, assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer, and fleeing to elude arrest.

The sheriff’s office said on July 6 deputies were investigating the report of a stolen utility trailer near Tabor City when they were provided with surveillance images of the theft. Flock technology was used to identify Misenheimer and his vehicle. Warrants were drawn for his arrest, and  his vehicle information entered in the Flock system.

Detectives found his vehicle using Flock on July 9, the report said, and he allegedly attempted to strike a detective with his car. Misenheimer struck a parked vehicle, then drove into a ditch while trying to flee, the report said. He continued to resist while being taken into custody, the report said.
