An unlicensed motorcyclist was jailed on multiple charges after apparently passing out in downtown Whiteville.
Charles Jerome Faulk, 39, of 3130 Hallsboro Road South, was arrested July 15. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine, driving while impaired, driving while license revoked, no motorcycle endorsement, no registration, and no insurance, according to court documents. He was initially held under no bond.
The call was dispatched around 10:34 a.m. July 15, the report said. Whiteville Police were called to the vicinity of Ward’s Grill in the 700 block of South Madison Street after a caller reported a male subject “hanging off” a BMW motorcycle. Officers found a quantity of methamphetamine on Faulk when he was searched. After having blood drawn for drug testing, Faulk was arrested and held in the Columbus County Detention Center.
