While car theft and identity theft aren’t unusual, the sheriff’s office is investigating after an alleged thief went above and beyond the usual crimes.
Deputies were contacted after a local man reported that his identity had been stolen and used to make purchases on a credit card as well as to buy an $86,681 Tesla Cybertruck. The truck was purchased in Mooresville, according to investigators.
