A man allegedly forced a woman from her home, took her in a vehicle to another location, and threatened her, after calling 911 multiple times claiming he was going to be killed.
Daniel Lee Harris, 34, of 21 New Life Church Rd., Tabor City, was held under no bond, according to detention center records. He is charged with second degree kidnapping, misdemeanor domestic violence, larceny, felony restraint and misuse of 911. He was taken into custody by Tabor City Police.
Harris was arrested Sept. 5, according to court documents. He is alleged to have broken into the victim’s home, second-degree kidnapping and felonious restraint, following his arrest Sept. 5, according to Columbus County court records.
He reportedly forced his way into the home of a woman with whom he had a previous relationship. He then allegedly forced her into his Ford truck and took her to another location against her will, threatening her with a kitchen knife from her home.
Warrants show he also called 911 multiple times, claiming that someone was trying to kill him, even though he was alone at the time.
Harris will appear in Columbus County District Court on Sept. 8.
