A Whiteville-area woman is being held under no bond after she allegedly shared photos of her infant playing with drugs and a firearm.
Kristen Michelle Boredeaux, 27, was arrested Oct. 16. She faces charges of exposing a child to controlled substances and negligent child abuse resulting in serious injury. Both counts are felonies. Bordeaux will have a probable cause hearing Nov. 1, according to court documents.
Photos shared online by a third party purport to show Bordeaux smiling while the infant holds a plastic bag of a leafy green substance. The photos were not released by investigators.
Warrants state that Bordeaux exposed the infant to marijuana. The second charge of negligent child abuse says that she exposed the child to firearms and drugs in a “manner which could cause serious physical and psychological injury to a minor child.”
The sheriff’s office and Dept. of Social Services are investigating. CCN Has reached out the sheriff’s office for more information.
