An eight year old child was struck by gunfire during a drive-by shooting on Braswell Road near Chadbourn Saturday evening. Emergency radio traffic indicated the child was transported to Columbus Regional. The sheriff’s office is investigating.

A thrown bottle earned not one, but two bursts of gunfire Monday. Logan Blake Prince, 20, called 911 around 9 p.m. to report the shootings.
