Herbert Lee Chestnut, 77, of Whiteville, died Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Whiteville.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Thursday, June 27, at First Baptist Church, 2872 Sidney-Cherry Grove Road, Clarendon, NC, by Pastor James Bellamy, Jr. Burial will be in the Belvue Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Thursday following the service.
He is survived by his sister, Deloris Chestnut Taylor of Clarendon, NC. Friends may visit the family at 1611 Carl Stephens Road, Clarendon, NC.
