An East Arcadia man died in a high speed crash Road Monday morning.
The Highway Patrol said Kedell Marquis Nixon was traveling north on Delco Prosper Road when he crossed the center line, left the roadway, struck a ditch, then collided with a tree. The crash occurred around 7:35 a.m.
The vehicle came to rest in a private driveway, according to the Highway Patrol.
Nixon was traveling at an estimated 85 miles per hour when the crash occurred. His 2019 Jeep Cherokee was demolished.
Nixon was wearing a seatbelt but was ejected from the wreck. He was the only occupant. There was no evidence of drugs or alcohol playing a role in the crash, according to the Highway Patrol.
The wreck was the tenth so far on county roadways this year.
