1/12/22 Daily Sports Wrap Up
MLB: Spring training is approaching so the need for face-to-face meetings between the Players Union and the league is in the plans for tomorrow. The pitchers and catchers are supposed to report to camp across the league on Feb 12-13. The Atlanta Braves camp opens on Feb 15. Both sides hope to have a new collective bargaining agreement in place before then, if so, the season will start on time. Opening day for the 2022 season is March 31 and it is the first time since 1968 that all teams will play on opening day.
NFL: The New York Giants have fired head coach Joe Judge. Judge had an unimpressive 10-23 record in his two seasons with the Giants. The Giants ended the season on a six-game losing streak and their worst season record in franchise history, 4-13.

Suns beat the Raptors 99-95
The Grizzlies beat the Warriors 116-108 to win their tenth in a row. The last game they lost was to the Warriors in Golden State on Dec 23, 2021. Steph Curry had a triple-double with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Clay Thompson had 14 points in 20 minutes. Ja Morant led all scorers with 29 points, he added 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Jaren Jackson had a double-double with 13 points and11 rebounds.
Timberwolves lost to the Pelicans 128-125
The Bulls 133-87 over the Pistons, winning their eleventh straight. Nikola Vucevik led the Bulles with 22 points, he added 8 rebounds and 4 assists. DeMar DeRozen scored a double-double, with 20 points and 12 rebounds, he also had 7 assists. Zach LaVine had 10 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists
Clippers over the Nuggets 87-85

The Hornets are back in action tonight to take on the 76ers in Philadelphia at 7pm. The Hornets are 22-19 and are in second place in the Southeast division.
